Relationship Between Visuals + Lyrics:
In one of the verses that the artist sings " I can turn it on be a good machine.." she is referencing herself as a robot and the images presented illustrate the lyrics as we are able to see the robotic parts present on the artist. Furthermore, her body language of her staying still reinforces the robotic idea as it relates back to the verse i've mentioned because she is waiting for a command to be given in order for her to come to life.
Star Treatment:
There are no other characters featured within the music video, so the focus is set only on the main artists through the use of extreme long shots when showing her in the location that she is at, closeup shots and medium close ups when she is singing the chorus. This is because the song is personal as the artists is projecting herself as a unique individual.
Male Gaze:
There is male gaze to an extent because the artist is presented in black lingerie, which has connotations for sexuality, elegance and power. The artists being presented in lingerie appeals to the male audience as it is very revealing. However, with the lyrics you gain the idea that she is opposing to this factor that women are viewed as an item because you could argue that she is speaking out for other women through her lyrics and how they are just as human as men are meaning that they should not be diminuated and treated differently due to their gender.

The pace of the music video is quite slow, and you continually get long shots on the artists to fit the variation within the track as it helps reinforce the deep meaning that the artists is trying to put across, which is that she is a unique being and wants the audience to be able to understand.

The location is quite simplistic. It looks as though Christina were inside a box or a mechanics room where it is that she is being created as the room creates this idea of the future since it's all white and clean. This would relate to the visuals as they variate with shots of mechanical parts being put together and then christina, when the light is low key the focus goes onto one of her body parts to show the robotic parts found within her.

The music videos uses special effect such as a green screen to project robot body parts onto the artists so that it relates to the lyrics as she is informing the audience that although she may be different in some way to them, she can still relate as she is the same as they are 'human' .
